InTandem Patient Support Programs
MedRhythms is here to help you afford the treatment you deserve.
We believe that affordability should not create a barrier to access to InTandem for patients who have a medical need for InTandem as determined by their healthcare provider.
Overview
Depending on whether your health insurance plan covers InTandem and, if so, the extent of available benefits, you may be responsible for a portion of the monthly rental fee of InTandem. The amount you will owe is determined by your insurance plan.
MedRhythms contracts with a dedicated team of third-party patient service coordinators (“Patient Coordinators”) who are available to help you learn more about your insurance benefits and any potential out-of-pocket costs for which you may be responsible.
Our Patient Coordinators can assist you by reviewing your specific insurance plan benefits and identifying potential out-of-pocket costs.

How much does InTandem cost?
Your health insurance plan benefits, including applicable coverage policies, will inform your cost to access InTandem. When the physician submits a prescription, our Patient Coordinators can help you evaluate what portion, if any, of the monthly rental fee you may have to cover. The Patient Coordinators will clearly communicate any out-of-pocket cost to you prior to shipment of InTandem.
Can I use my Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account to pay for InTandem?
Coverage and eligibility may vary by plan, but generally, InTandem qualifies as an eligible healthcare expense that can be purchased using money from a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) when prescribed by a physician. We recommend that you check with your benefits administrator to confirm the rules governing HSA or FSA eligibility under your plan(s).
MedRhythms does not guarantee third-party health insurance coverage or HSA/FSA payment for our products, and we do not reimburse customers for claims that are denied by third party payors or benefits administrators. Coverage and eligibility may vary by plan. MedRhythms provides this information, which is subject to change or interpretation, as a courtesy.
Can I buy InTandem?
As an item of durable medical equipment, InTandem is typically rented on a monthly basis to patients for the duration of your prescription. You and your health plan may share the rental fee depending on your health plan and coverage. If your doctor would recommend using InTandem for an extended period of time, ownership could transfer to you.
Please contact the Patient Coordinators to learn more about your options.
